Ayodhya was lit up with thousand lamps
people
celebrated with joy after
the
triumphant return of Ram.
We
too carried the cultural legacy
expressing
joy by lighting and bursting crackers.
Untill
Corona the Ravan like
destroyed
the
Diwali
came and went like tweets
no
sounds, no lamps, no sweets,
silent
were children in quietened homes
barricaded
streets and restricted zones,
curb imposed by courts.
Chased
by doctors and scientists
now
when Corona is fading
should
we not allow our children
to
enjoy the fest of light and ward off
the
intruder by feasting and lighting lamps.
Light
dispels darkness,
Light
destroys evil,
Light spreads love,
Come
let's light the lamp of love
in
this dark silent night funereally eerie
and
sing for all - the hope of victory and glory.
